Copyright Notices

    Last updated: 14 October 2026

    Our position

Broadcasting rights belong to their holders. IPTV South Africa does not claim rights to any third-party premium channel and does not sell DStv, SuperSport or Showmax packages. We take copyright notices seriously and review every valid notice promptly.

    1. Who can send a notice

If you hold the copyright or broadcasting rights in content, or act for the holder, and believe that content available through our service infringes those rights, you can send us a notice. The applicable law in South Africa includes the Copyright Act 98 of 1978.

    2. What the notice must contain

    1. The protected work: a clear description of the work or channel whose rights you hold.
    2. The content concerned: enough detail (channel name, programme, date and time) to find it.
    3. Your contact details: name, address, telephone number and email address.
    4. A good-faith statement: that you believe the use is not authorised by the rights holder.
    5. A statement of accuracy: that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
    6. Your signature: physical or electronic.

    3. Where to send it

    • Email: [email protected]
    • Subject line: “Copyright notice” followed by the name of the work or channel

    4. How a notice is handled

    • We acknowledge the notice and review it promptly
    • If it is valid, we take the appropriate action, including removing access to the content concerned
    • We may contact the supplier of the stream concerned
    • We keep a record of the procedure

    5. Counter-notice

If you believe content was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice containing:

    • Your physical or electronic signature
    • Identification of the content removed and where it appeared
    • A statement that the removal was a mistake
    • Your full contact details

    6. Repeat infringement

We may end the subscription of customers who repeatedly infringe the rights of others, as set out in our terms of service.

    7. Customers' responsibility

Customers must use the service lawfully and must not record, redistribute or resell the content they watch. For general information on legality, see is IPTV legal in South Africa?

    8. Copyright contact

    Questions from rights holders

Which content is included, and which broadcasting rights apply?

IPTV South Africa supplies access details to live channels and an on-demand library through a player app. Broadcasting rights belong to their holders; we do not claim rights to any third-party premium channel. If you believe content infringes your rights, send a notice to our copyright contact and we will review it promptly.
